Monday Mystery Backlist - TRACE EVIDENCE

This week I'm pulling another book from my TBR pile to highlight for the Monday Mystery Backlist. A friend recommended Elizabeth Becka to me for two reasons. The first, TRACE EVIDENCE deals with forensic science. I like Kathy Reichs and Thomas Holland, so that makes sense. And like both Reichs and Holland, Becka is a veteran forensic scientist. The second reason, it's set in Cleveland. So, let's talk a tad about TRACE EVIDENCE.

Evelyn James is a single mother and a forensic trace evidence expert investigating a forcible drowning. A woman is chained and sunk in cement. Then a second murder, one connected to a prominent family, is linked to this first murder. Hell is breaking loose and Evelyn and the police need to find the murderer. But things become personal when Evelyn suspects that the murderer is using her daughter as a pawn.

TRACE EVIDENCE was published by Hyperion Books in 2005. ISBN: 1-4013-0174-6

**As a side note, Becka also writes a series of books under the name Lisa Black.
