Thankfully Reading - Mini Challenge #2

For Thankfully Reading, Beth Fish Reads has challenged us to share our bookshelves in either photo format or video format. Since I'm procrastinating about the housework I need to do, opted to spend a few minutes putting together a video of my shelves. It's very rough and I did no editing, so don't expect Spielburg, o.k?

I cannot listen to my own voice on video or audio, so you'll have to be the judges. You can see some of my critters walking through the shots as an added bonus. So, here are my newly installed and organized bookshelves:

WOWOWOWOWOWOW I love your two posters. Wow. I loved the look at your shelves -- and I'm relieved that your "must read and review soon" shelves are about the same size as mine.

Your voice sounds great -- and I loved seeing your four-legged friends too.

I'm going to have to get a video camera.

I love the shelf for the cats by the heater vent. My cats are jealous

Thanks for the tour. I love the posters and the critters added a nice touch.

Terrific vlog! What a comfy room. No wonder the critters are at home in it, too.

Fun video! I'm glad to see someone else has an "immediate TBR pile" as big as mine.

Thanks everyone! Before my books were in 18 different rubbermaid totes in my dining room. I'm so tickled to finally have the library in place.

Jon, Logan and Tashi are welcome to visit my shelf anytime, but I know how fond they are of dogs! I have baby gates if they ever want to visit!

Can I tell you how very happy I am that you enjoy your library so much? Every time you say you are going to your library to read I'm pleased. One of my best gifts ever.

What a great reading room! I would love to have something like that someday. Thanks for the tour! (You have a great narrating voice.)

That is A LOT of books and a lot of signed books! I thought you did a great job with the Vlog. Also, I am dying to go to the LA Book Festival!

Love your tour.. the books and the critters.. now I can picture where you're reading. What a wonderful idea.

What a wonderful, cozy nook you have created in which to read and store and display your books--and a special place for the cats.

I envy that, but I have my huge floor-to-ceiling booksheld near my computer, which I enjoy every time I'm reading or writing on it.

This is the scene--and the ultimate in coziness--that cannot be replicated by ebooks and kindles. No beautiful shelves of books with niches for the cats, etc.

I look forward to your book reviews. Over this weekend, I read "Through the Cracks," by Barbara Fister, and "A Not So Perfect Crime," by Teresa Solana, and am starting a third, as yet unknown title.

I love looking at everyone's shelves. How awesome that you have so many signed books. I never get to meet authors.
Great vlog!

All I can say is wow! And that I'm super jealous

Thanks for all these nice comments everyone. I do love my library/reading room. It would still be a junk room if not for one of the very best friends a person could possibly hope for. Judy came and spent a weekend with me and helped me clean out the room. Kept me on track! Had great organization ideas. And now I get to take advantage of the room every day! It's a joy :-)
