Farewell to 2010
To wrap up 2010 I decided to put together a little picture show. These are a smattering of pictures from the various events I've attended this year: Felonious February in Muskego, the L.A. Times Festival of Books, Printers Row, Bouchercon, Murder and Mayhem in Muskego, plus all the various book signings.
Hope you enjoy and I hope 2011 brings you much love, happiness and success! Happy New Year!

Loved the photo memories-thanks for sharing. I was thrilled to be able to share some of these events with you and looking forward to more good times in 2011!
All the best to you, my dear friend. Happy New Year! xoxo
Wow, Jen, that was quite a review of 2010 events! You are just amazing and I'm so pleased that you've been able to participate in all those author signings and conferences. You're becoming quite the expert I think!
Hope you 2011 is filled with much joy and some great reading! Hugs to you!
This is amazing! And thank you so much for including me. Meeting you was one of the highlights of my year, Jen. You are one in a billion, my friend. Here's to getting together many times in many places in 2011! xoxox
What a fun montage! Already planning where and when I'll dip you in 2011...
Happy New Year.
Thanks everyone! I like looking back at these and remembering the events and people and happiness. The crime fiction community is a special one and I'm honored that they let me ride on the coat tails!
If you're planning Brad, I expect spectacular!! ;-)
Happy New Year friends!!
Nice to see NoirDog Butch prominently featured. Great pics, great year. Here's hoping 2011 will be even better.
It is so wonderful that you get to attend all of these events, and it is even more wonderful that you take the time to share them with your blog readers. Thanks for all of it!
I look forward to meeting you at Bouchercon 2011 in St. Louis!
What a great way to review the year! Fabulous. Happy new year!
Jen, thanks for including me in your wonderful video. It sure brought back memories of fun times. I can't believe I only met you this year; it feels like I've known you a long, long time.
Hope your new year brings only good things!
Just wanted to get it in somewhere that, yes, I am reading Gregg Hurwitz's "The Crime Writer," and stayed up half the night to read.
And, while it's different from what I usually read--although I read Linwood Barclay, whose books are a bit like this one--it is riveting, and some of the writing that one least expects in a thriller is good.
So, I'll have to figure out what else to read of his, what else to read of this website's recommendations, while I figure out the master plan of continuing global reading and revisiting "Vintage" mysteries, too. If I could just clone myself...
And, now I'm afraid to go out on errands because I'll miss something in the book, and how quickly can I finish this today? Now, that's a thriller! The definition is that when you go out on tasks, when all you do is think about the book you're reading and how quickly you can get home to finish it...!
Kathy, you have me grinning this morning. So glad you're loving THE CRIME WRITER!
Hi Jen,
Grinning, yes, good.
Any suggestions on another book by Gregg Hurwitz to follow up? Or should I go to your 2010 "Best of" books?
Kathy, THEY'RE WATCHING is on my favorites list for this year. And last year TRUST NO ONE was on the list. Either one is outstanding and they're each stand alones, so you don't have to worry about any order. I'm psyched for YOU'RE NEXT which comes out this year.
Okay, Jen. Thanks.
I guess more staying up half the night, scared to take garbage to the compacter, not being able to go out and do errands, glued to the books, is in my near future.
My final note on "The Crime Writer." My bills aren't paid, there's no food in the refrigerator, but I finished this riveting thriller.
Better take care of life's necessities before I crack open another Gregg Hurwitz book. A break, but then on to the next one.
Nice collection of memories! Thanks for sharing them.
