Hey, Jen: I love your blog. I've been looking for someone who is as obsessed with thriller / mystery / detective fiction as I am.

I'm a huge Crais fan. And I've just discovered Coben and Burke; until about a month I ago, I had never read either of them.

I read two or three books / week. My "gotta read" list includes Connolly, Connelly, Crais, Parker, Peter Robinson, Kellerman, McBride, McGinty, F. Paul Wilson, . . . I LOVED McBain.

So glad you stopped by! If you love Crais and Parker...and Coben...you definitely have to check out Michael Koryta. You've given me a few new authors to check out as well! Thanks!!

Which authors in my list were new to you? Honestly, your GR (gotta read) list is much longer than mine.

Coben is really interesting. I read two non-Bolitar books first, I'm about done with my first Bolitar book (The Last Detail.) I LOVE his plots. He seems to have a thing about people falsely accused of crimes.

Any suggestions on the next Coben book I should pick up?

I have just about finished the Myron/Win series, but I haven't read any of Coben's stand alones yet. I just discovered him myself about a year ago...and I have to admit that I have a bit of an OCD, thing. I have to start from the beginning! LOL I do think I'm going to cheat and read HOLD TIGHT next, though. I'm really looking forward to it. I LOVE all the Myron Bolitar books, absolutely love them. But, if I had to pick a fav, it would probably be FADE AWAY. The ending to FADE AWAY was AWESOME!!! LOVED IT!!! Connelly, Crais, Parker and Kellerman are regulars for me as well. I have not read Peter Robinson or Ed McBain, though. I'll have to definitely check them out. Others I "GR" are Koryta, Lehane, Burke (both James Lee and Alafair), Kathy Reichs, Linda Fairstein...just recently discovered T. Jefferson Parker and I love his work as well. I've read a little of Pelecanos, and I really like what I've read of his. Gregg Hurwitz totally blew me out of the water with his CRIME WRITER, so I want to check into more of his work...recently discovered Lisa Unger, and have loved both of the books I've read by her. Another new find for me was Thomas Holland. If you like forensic-type crime investigations, he's a good one for that. There's so much good stuff out there, and I'm always looking for new authors. I'm actually going back in time a bit these days...recently read Ross Macdonald for the first time and have a Raymond Chandler waiting for me to get to it. So many books...so little time...

Always feel free to drop me a line on a good book or a good title...The more the merrier!!! :)

Yeah, Ross MacDonald; _The Underground Man_ is perhaps the greatest American mystery novel.

Well, you've given me a few names to chase down. There's a new John Connolly book just out; he's great if you like supernatural elements in your mysteries.
