This and That
It's been awhile since I've done a this and that post, but I had a few fun things to share.
The first is that I'm checking out this new book lovers app called Litsy. I'm intrigued and think it would be a fun way to track quotes I especially like as well as see what my friends are reading. I heard it described as Instagram for book lovers. You can find me by searching Jen_Forbus.
I'd like to send out congratulations to the Left Coast Crime award winners in Phoenix from this weekend. And speaking of Left Coast Crime, I've registered for Honolulu next year. My travel will now be down to a bare minimum so I can save up for that trip. Hope to see some of you there.
Since I'll be attending LCC next year, I won't likely be able to do this as well, but if you're not headed to Hawaii, how about Chicago? Dana Kaye announced a Murder & Mayhem in Chicago for March 2017.
And while I won't be doing any major conventions this year, I'm beyond excited about heading to Chicago in May to see Fredrik Backman at Anderson's Bookshop. FREDRIK. BACKMAN. Is it May yet? Just kidding... sort of...
Closer to my neck of the woods, I'll be seeing Tim Dorsey and Markus Zusak at the Cuyahoga Library System in March. Are you attending any fun book events in the near future?

Jen, I attended Left Coast Crime in Phoenix this last weekend. Wow. First time for me and it was so much fun!! My husband played a bunch of golf and was so happy. And I was among 'my people' - truly 'my tribe'. I was a fangirl and beyond. Wanted to tell you that I met Hilary Davidson at an event on Friday evening. I told her that I learned about her and her books from your blog and when I said 'Jen Forbus', she immediately smiled this megawatt smile and looked so delighted. And I won a copy of one of her books at the event. It was wonderful!! So thanks for originally telling me about her.
Kay, your comment made my day! I'm so glad you got to go. I adore LCC, too. It's such a great conference...and the size is such that you get to interact with others on a quality level. It's not rush, rush, rush...on to the next person, kind of thing. I love it. I'm glad you did, too. :-) And I'm delighted you won another of Hilary's books AND got to meet her. She's a gem! Will I see you in Honolulu?
Les, so glad you and Leslie are going to be in Honolulu! It's been awhile. We have to catch up. :-)
Not sure about Honolulu. My hubby and I talked about it, but we'll see how it goes. I also got to see Lesa Holstine and Cathy from Kittling: Books. Plus all the authors. I was so excited and then got brave and went up and introduced myself to many of them. They were so kind. Truly a 'rock star' thing for me. LOL
